Ooo... I don't know... I know some regions, claim there is a " no jeeps" clause ... maybe if you lower it and put smaller tires on it, like some 31's. Maybe ... Grin

I have, seen Taco's & s-10's on course . In various regions.

Saw a Porche Cayanne or whatever they are, in there, i think. But what is the difference between an AWD WRX and an AWD FJ, aside from the obvious roll-over potential. You think that is the only reasoning? I guess i really just need to set up some cones in a field and see how it does haha. Are there some sort of Tire restrictions or is that based on class? My FJ has regular street tires, but my Jeep would have MT's, but for a weekend i suppose my FJ could have MTs.

Looks like a blast and i would love to give it a go.

Purdy sure its a height to width reason ... a suzuki sidekick/samurai and a wrangler owners, would get the same speech.

Just throw, some H1 full witdh / complete axles under it, ( I guess, it's bronco thing... ) they ( scca ) couldnt bother you . Cheesy

Otherwise, there are only 8 ( scca rx ) classes :

stock FWD
stock RWD
stock AWD
( Any d.o.t. tires allowed, including "snow". Firestone winterforce seems popular.

prepared FWD
prepared RWD
prepared AWD
( Soon as you install/put on, rally/gravel tires, you are in prepared. )
( Ex. of hankook rally/gravel tire

michelin, kumho, falken, yokohama, also make them ... only catch is, they are ONLY available for 15 in. wheels... Sorry WRX STI owners. )

mod 2 WD
mod 4 WD
( the anything-goes classes. )

Some people take ( advatage ) enterprize, budget, avis, hertz, thrifty, dollar, national, type places.

I seen people barrow or rent, swap wheels and tires ( just make sure, the bolt pattern is the same. ) from a friend ( with a wrx on rally tires ) for half of day. Grin

... then take the car back all dirty. Shocked

... Just make sure you get the extra insurance. Grin

The "overflow" parking lot @ National trail raceway... prolly thats why, its a winter series. They REALLY dont like dust on their "track". ( ... the boring kind, where you dont need a steering wheel. )

If you think its far away, count up all the indiana plates. Shocked
